Perelli beach:

delimited by an area for access to animals, the seabed is gently sloping, therefore very suitable for your children’s games, here the tourist can make the most of his holiday admiring the islands of the Tuscan archipelago from the coast, in the back of the dune there is also a splendid pine forest dotted with paths for walking lovers.

Carlappiano beach:

it is also a beach of very fine white sand, partly free and partly served by bathing facilities. The Carlappiano area delimits the beginning of the Sterpaia park and also the beaches that we will describe later will all have the characteristic of having the pine forest behind the back of the dune, of a thick pine forest served by picnic tables and children’s games. Here too you can enjoy a relaxing bath thanks to the slightly sloping seabed.

Sterpaia Park:

this beach also boasts the characteristic of having beaches with very fine white sand; ideal for families with children, relaxation, rest and tanning are guaranteed here, the Sterpaia park together with the beaches of Perelli and Carlappiano are served by large paid car parks.

Mortelliccio beach:

renowned location with a large stretch of free beach adjacent to private bathrooms, bar restaurant and small swimming pool for children, whoever decides to stay on this beach in the bathing establishment together with the cabin will also be given a voucher included in the price for parking car.

Il Pino:

the last location included in the Sterpaia park, this name is attributed to the presence on the beach of a centuries-old pine tree, shaped over time by the strong sea winds, the beach like all the others mentioned above is suitable for the elderly due to the proximity of the car park and for the possibility of renting umbrellas and sunbeds on site.

Carbonifera beach:

Carbonifera beach takes its name from the nineteenth-century tower that still exists today, the tower served as the terminal point and embarkation point of an ancient Carbonifera – Montebamboli railway, which brought coal from inland mines. The beach winds along both left and right sides, on the right we have an equipped beach, from the bathing establishment for 1 km. after which we find the free beach, while on the left we find the completely free beach.

Buca delle Fate:

it is a beach located on the Baratti – Populonia coast overlooking the island of Elba, it is made up of pebbles eroded by the sea and other rocks, the view is enchanting panoramic, the seabed is crystal clear and the place can be reached walking along a steep path starting from the car park of the cut or by boat.

Rimigliano Park:

it is composed of a dense forest of holm oaks and maritime pines, which slope down towards a dark and coarse beach. Continuing along the beach towards San Vincenzo, you will find the naturist beach delimited by municipal signs where you can practice naturism called FKK and Nido Dell’Aquila.

Cala Violina:

it is one of the most beautiful beaches in the Maremma, composed of very small grains of clear quartz, the sea is crystal clear and you can enjoy uncontaminated nature being inserted within the Scarlino nature reserve, it is located between Follonica and Punta Ala .

Calamoresca:

continuing along the coast towards Piombino you come across a very picturesque gulf, where there is a cobbled beach served by small bathrooms and a characteristic restaurant, the point is accessible from the top of the coast via a narrow road with hairpin bends.

Populonia:

The village was called Pupluna or Fufluna, from the Etruscan puple, “sprout”, from which Fufluns, Etruscan god of wine and inebriation: the terrain, geologically similar to Elba, and the proximity to the sea allowed, quality wine production since ancient times. In ancient times it was one of the largest and most important Etruscan cities and was the only one to be built on the sea, along the Tuscan coast.

Campiglia Marittima:

medieval village is the capital of a territory that is a hymn to all the nuances of nature: from the ancient stones to the transparency of the thermal waters up to the frescoes by young artists and the gardens and streets lined with cultivated or spontaneous essences.

Suvereto:

town of medieval origins still surrounded by almost intact walls, crowned by eight towers. The urban center is accessed through two gates dating back to the 13th century, one called, at various times, Porta al Piano, Porta a Mare, Porta piombinese, Porta Grande, the other Porta di Sassetta and, still today, Porticciola. Its hilly location right in front of the Island of Elba, ten minutes from the beaches of the Etruscan Coast, makes it an ideal center for non-mass tourism but attentive to quiet, gastronomy, excellent wine, traditions, folklore.

Massa Marittima:

is a town, located on a hill about 380 m above sea level. It is renowned for its mineral springs, iron, mercury, lignite and copper mines, with smelters, ironworks and oil mills. The city arose in the early Middle Ages, when around 1000 AD. the bishopric of Populonia was transferred there. After the initial domination of the Republic of Pisa, it became an autonomous municipality in the 13th century. In the following century it was conquered by Siena, to which it belonged until, in the mid-16th century, it became part of the Grand Duchy of Tuscany.

Castiglione della Pescaia:

it is a village overlooking the sea between Punta Ala and Marina di Grosseto. It is well located as it offers daily excursions to the islands of the Tuscan archipelago. The town boasts very ancient origins: the first traces of a population in this area date back to around sixty thousand years ago while the first urban settlement is located in Vetulonia; the ancient city that the Etruscans founded near Lake Prile (no longer in existence).

Calidario Etruscan Baths

The historic Natural Spring: a thousand-year-old lake with a surface area of more than 3000 m2. Here it is possible to immerse yourself in precious and beneficial waters right where they are born and regenerated naturally. The water flows constantly at a temperature of 36° at any time of the year but the average flow rate can vary from one min. of 100 to a max. of 450 l/sec.

The Cerreta Terme of Sassetta

La Cerreta is a place of connection where the simple flow of water reconstructs forgotten harmonies between man and the elements of nature. A precious water that flows naturally from an underground basin at a constant temperature of 51°C and which, thanks to a particular concentration of sulphates, calcium, minerals and trace elements, gives those who immerse themselves in it therapeutic effects on the respiratory, skin and musculoskeletal levels .
